In this training video that was on the Missouri Institute of Mental Health Continuing Education television station, Dr. Jeffrey Wheary (C.E.O. of the Children Advocacy Center in St. Louis, Missouri) discusses the trends related to reports of child sexual abuse, the experience s of children who make disclosures of sexual abuse and its impact on parents. In addition Dr. Wheary discusses the role of the mandated reports and typical mental health needs of a sexually abused child.
