ALDERSGATE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH
- Jackson, Mississippi
The church has a program called "A Mouse in the House". This is a computer lab that serves both the community and the congregation. There is a computer lab set up with six computer labs with high-speed internet access. Trained volunteers from the church offer after-school tutoring to students from neighboring schools. The students are referred through their school's administrators. Church members learn new skills during free computer classes. As a sideline to this, younger congregation members prepare and present computer-generated presentations during worship services.
ARLINGTON UNITED METHODIST CHURCH

The church has an extensive "Without Walls" Mission & Outreach program. Church has a parish nurse. It provides bagged meals for the local homeless program (ASPAN - Arlington Street People's Assistance Network). They have an ESL program. Church has a food pantry. It provides cookies for the Kairos Prison Ministry. During the Christmas season, it has a Angel Tree and also provides a Christmas Eve Homeless Dinner. It takes part in "Sole Fest" (collecting shoes for impoverished areas of the world (the church goal was to collect 600 pairs of shoes)). Also, the youth take part in "Operation Teddy Bear", which is the collection of new and gently used stuff animals and other toys for orphanages in developing countries.

- "Be The Blessing Day" - Worship is cancelled. 700 church members joined in service to the community at more than 50 partner sites.
BRENTWOOD UNITED METHODIST CHURCH
- Brentwood, Tennessee
The church hosts a free, weekly "Career Transitions Support Group" that is open to all members of the community. Also, the church has a room where participants of the group can come in to use a computer, office tools, and telephone during their job search.

The church was instrumental in opening the SAMA (Sumpter Area Ministerial Association) Food Pantry. Prayer Shawl Ministry. Provides place for Al-Anon to meet.
CHRIST, PRINCE OF CHURCH
- Ford City, Pennsylvania
This church also has an extensive Health ministry with parish nurses. The parish nurses help individuals by Assessing the home bound for community resource needs, Offering support programs for dealing with grief, Providing information on a health related problem, and Offering health promotion programs. Volunteers are also available for friendly visits, help with insurance forms, caretaker relief, phone reassurance, bereavement visits, shopping for groceries, and transportation to medical appointments.
CHR-ST THE KING EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH
- Centerville, Ohio
- adopted "The Castle" which is a non-profit day center for mentally ill adults in Centerville (suburb of Dayton). Church prepares and serves a meal to the members of the Castle every other month and stop by at other times to visit. Minister forwards member's prayer requests to church's prayer team.
CORPUS CHRISTI CATHOLIC CHURCH
- Chatham, New Jersey
"Faith in Action" is a ministry within the parish that provides interim assistance to our parishioners in need. Some of the services provided include rides to doctors, dentists, hospital out-patient, post office, supermarket, and meals. Part of the Interfaith Hospitality network of Chatham, New Jersey. Provides Christmas In A Box. Works with the Morris Habitat For Humanity Affiliate.

DAYSTAR CHURCH OF G-D - Bandon, Oregon
I am sorry to see that this church has been disbanded because the pastor had moved away but I want to keep it listed because of it's the great social ministries that it had. I learned of the closure in January, 2007. The last time I visited Bandon, Oregon in 2004, the church had a membership of less than three dozen members and a part-time minister. Even with this low number of membership, the church had a clothes closet, food bank, and a short-term housing ministry. These ministries were housed in two single-wide trailers behind the church.

EAST HOWARD BAPTIST CHURCH
- Biloxi, Mississippi
This small church has a food pantry and clothes closet. During it's relief work after Hurricane Katrina, the church expanded it's give away to bedding, dishes, eating utensils, cooking items, and toiletries. On Friday nights, they provide a meal for the homeless and anybody else who needs one.
ENGLISH EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH

- "Fresh Loaf Giveaway" : a few members bake fresh loaves of bread, and drop them off warm and smothered in butter to a motel across the street that serves as transitional housing between services. "Garage No Sale" - In October, the church hosts a Garge No Sale for the community where everything is FREE. The week before the No Sale the church collects Gently Used items such as clothing, household items, outdoor items, furniture, toys, seasonal decorations, kitchen ware, shoes, etc. Friday night is open to special invited guests and Saturday is open to the entire community. A free lunch is served on Saturday.
