STORIES FROM THE ROAD

A NEW SLEEPING BAG
I didn't expect to have a day off in Krotz Springs, LA but my body needed
it. I woke up with a mild case of the flu. It's great
to have some new friends that would allow you to stay
over even though you only met them last night at
church. I just couldn't think about going on today.
Didn't get much sleep.
During the day, I didn't really do much but sleep a
little and try to get some new programs installed on
the family computer. I had moderate luck getting three
of the four programs installed on the computer. Also,
I did play a few computer games but never really
understood the meaning behind them.
The biggest surprise was when Bill came home from
work. He told me that it wasn't right for me to go
around and do the L-RD's work with a sleeping bag that
was losing it's feathers. I had found a lightweight
down sleeping bag at a state park in California and
was trying to use it.
Bill went out to the car and came back with a brand
new sleeping bag and carrying sack for me. The
sleeping bag was one of the latest models with the
space blanket liner so that it will be really warm
during cold nights. I couldn't really find the right
kind of words to say to him in thanks because I sort
of knew that the sleeping bag must have cost around
two hundred dollars or more.
