STORIES FROM THE ROAD

JUST TEN DOLLARS
Today was a good rest day in Copley, OH with the parents of a friend
of mine down in Americus, GA at Habitat. I had called
around to the area's bike shops to see if they would
have a rear wheel my size. Sun Valley Sports nearby
said that they might.
When we got there, the manager didn't know if he had
the right one with my kind of hub. After talking for a
while to the manager, he decided to sell me a wheel
from a bike that was going to be assembled and
switched the cluster with mine. He was going to throw
in the cluster for free but my chain would probably
not worked with it.
When the cluster was switched, the manager said that
he would just take ten dollars for it. I was quite
amazed because along with the cluster he had thrown in
the tire and the tube had been on the wheel for free.
If I would have bought all of these things, it would
have cost me well over one hundred dollars.
