STORIES FROM THE ROAD

ROUND TABLE DISCUSSION
I was spending the night with a college student at the
University of Virginia in Charlottsville, Virginia. He had contacted me by email
asking if there was a way for me to stop by during my
trip through Virginia. It turns out that he was
Jewish. I was really amazed that he almost had
everything on my website memorized.
It was going to be sort of a crowded night in the
small dormroom because he had a roommate. I was
invited to eat with him at the dining hall using a
guest ticket. A group of his friends wanted to join us
so we found a large round table. The group was pretty
international in make-up because was somebody from
India, Japan, and Korea.
The conversation was really great because after a
while it centered upon faith and religion. It was
really neat hearing the other guy's viewpoints since
they were Budhist, Hindu, and Shinto. We got so
involved in our conversation that several other people
joined in. In fact, we were the last group to leave
the dining hall.
