STORIES FROM THE ROAD

NEW TIRES
I had a pretty good night with the former president of
the local Habitat affiliate in Alexandria, MN. I had crashed early and
slept till around 6:30 a.m. While having breakfast,
Ron asked me if I needed something for my bike. I told
him that I somehow needed to get at least one tire
replaced on the bike.
Ron excused himself and said that he would be back in
a few minutes. I thought that he was going to see if
there was a local bike shop but it turned out that he
had just gone out into the garage. In his hands were
two brand new cross tires.
Ron asked me if I could use them. He had bought them
for his bike but he never used them. I didn't really
know how to express my gratitude. The tires were my
bike's size and they were eighty pounds pressure.
Ron told me to just think of them as a present from
ADONAI. He offered to take me into town to a gas
station so that I could put them on.
