STORIES FROM THE ROAD

ILLNESS
This had to have been my roughest weekend of the
season. Saturday, I had hoped to help out the local
Habitat affiliate in Jerome, Idaho dig some fence post holes in the
backyard of the affiliate's first home but this didn't
happen. Right after breakfast, I started to feel sick
and I rushed downstairs to the guest bedroom where I
stayed most of the day it seemed. Luckily, I was
staying with the affiliate president.
I had the classical symptoms of stomach flu (cramps,
diahhrea, headache, nausea). The only symptom that I
didn't experience was vomiting. I don't know where I
picked it up from. I was exposed slightly a couple of
days earlier in Glenns Ferry. By the end of the day
when I started to feel somewhat better, I could
imagine that there was now a groove in the carpeting
between the bathroom and my bathroom across the hall.
