TRIP 2002 UPDATES

Update #23 - May 04th, 2002
Dublin, New Hampshire- 4,557 miles

The ride between Canajoharie, NY and Dublin, NH went okay without much problem. The hardest part has been the weather. For the most part, the temperature was in the forties. Between Bennington and Wilmington, VT, I had an all day rain. This was really hard since I crossed over the Appalachian Mountain Range. Due to the rain, my brake pads didn't hold so I had to walk down the mountain. I was really drenched when I got into Wilmington. The Congregational Church hosted me and they offered to get me a room at a local motel.

Along the way, I stayed in a couple of churches. One of the nicest ones was the Episcopal Church in Canajoharie. I stayed in the carriage house apartment for two nights. The Reconstructionist Synagogue in Bennigton, VT hosted me with a room in a local motel. I stayed with friends in Ballston Spa, NY. In Marlborough, NH, I stayed at the Catholic church.

I'm riding near the Southern Edge of New Hampshire through Nashua. I will becoming into Maine around Sanford. From Dublin, NH, I should have about a two hundred mile ride to Belfast, Maine.
