TRIP 2002 UPDATES
Update #25 - May 09th, 2002
Peterborough, New Hampshire- 4,569 miles
Considering how I have been feeling since my accident, I'm doing okay. The pain in my left wrist has lessoned quite a
bit so I'm trying to go with out the splint for a little while. I've got full movement in my fingers and wrist.
Now, just to get the swelling down in my upper arm and get a better range of movement. I can extend my arm almost clear
down but I can't either raise it up or move it sideways. I've got some nasty bruising of my upper inner arm. I'm not
looking forward to not being off the bike for at least five weeks more.
For the past two nights, I've been staying in the Methodist church parsonage. Tomorrow, Pastor Judy is taking me to
Winthrop, Maine, which is about ten miles west of Augusta. I'll be recuperating at the Methodist Camp Mechuwana. I'm
not sure what I'll be doing there. I hope to do a lot of resting and maybe start that book that everybody wants me to
write. There might be a chance for me to help out around the camp. I'll have to find out when I get there. I hear
that the camp is a very nice one.
