TRIP 2005 UPDATES
Update #34 - October 11, 2005
Versailles, IL - 11,942 miles (19107 kms.)
I'm still on the road. I got up to Ft. Wayne five days with a hope that I could possibly stop for the rest of the year.
It didn't happen. My friend didn't need the help that I thought that she needed.
I stayed on for a day. It was sort of hard for me. The house really needed some work done on it but Ruth said that she was
content on how things are. Ruth wanted me to stay on for a few days but I needed to head back south before it really got
cold.
I'm on the way back south. I've got about 28 more miles of Indiana before I cross the Ohio River into Kentucky again east
of Louisville. I'm heading towards Aberdeen, MS. I made a really good friend there several weeks ago and there is an
invitation for me to stop in again. Hopefully, this might be an end point.
If not, I'll try and ride to SE Texas to see how things are doing with the relief work from Hurricane Rita and then
possibly head east across Louisiana. I'm not looking forward to riding any more this year. From October onward, The
days of riding are short and it is so hard to find a place inside each night to get out of the cold.
I'll try and post and update as often as I can if my plans change.
