Just a short note to tell everybody that I made it out of Michigan yesterday afternoon. It's so good to be out of the state. I had more than my share of bike problems. I had to have the rear wheel retrued when I was up in Bay City. Yesterday, I almost got stranded between Monroe, MI and Toledo, OH when my rear tire blew out that caused a sidewall tear and my pump finally failed. I was able to repair the tire and I was close to some place where I could get the tire inflated.

I made it to Toledo, OH last night. I stayed with an ELCA minister. HE was a cyclist also and he gave me a new rear tire. I got a good bike pump at a bike shop here in Bowling Green. No more getting cheap pumps at Wal-Mart and I'm not going to over-inflate tires no matter if somebody at a bike shop tells me that I can.

I'm on the way to meet up with a new minister friend in Circleville that is south of Columbus. From there, I'll be traveling NE to Rochester, NY. I should be getting to Rochester in 2-3 weeks.
