THE TRIP AHEAD - 2008
Update 3 - January 30th, 2008
Americus, GA
There hasn't really been much happening. I haven't been able to do any riding for training because of my wheel problems.
The rear wheel is on it's way to a friend's bike shop in Illinois to get repaired. My friend offered to put stronger
spokes on it for free. Hopefully, I will be getting back the wheel in a couple of weeks so that I can go on some training
rides before I head out again. I still plan to head out around March 1st or 2nd. It would have been nice to head out on
February 19th, which would have been the fifteenth anniversary of this adventure, but it's not possible.
The website has been winning more and more awards. So far for the year, the website has won almost 30 awards. The count of
awards posted is 304. They mean a lot to me since they help validate all of the hard work that I've put into the website.
Planning for the upcoming mission trip is going okay. Using Microsoft Streets and Trips, I've been able to come up with
a tentative route that would take me to the Pacific Northwest (Oregon and Washington State) and back. Currently, the
distance is around 10,000 miles. Right now, I'm fine-tuning the route so that I can start contacting churches along the
way to see if they might be able to help.
For the past couple of days, I've been working on another project. Part of my ministry is to design websites for churches
or religious organizations. Before this project, I had designed websites for two churches here in the United States and
a website for a friend of mine who is now in Fiji. The newest website that I've designed is for an Anglcan Church in
Australia. For the past three years, I've had a running conversation with the rector of the St. Luke's Anglican Church
in the little town of Taralga, New South Wales, Australia. Here is the URL

Well, this is all I think I need to write now. The next update should be posted between February 06th and February 13th.
