THE TRIP AHEAD - 2008
Update 4 - February 18th, 2008

There hasn't really been much happening. I haven't been able to do any riding for training because of my wheel problems.
I've got word last week that my rear wheel had been rebuilt with stronger spokes made in Switzerland but I have not gotten
the wheel back. I still plan to head out March 03rd (weather permitting and it's just 14 days away. It would have been
nice to head out on February 19th, which would have been the fifteenth anniversary of this adventure, but was not
possible to do so.
The website has been winning more and more awards. So far for the year, the website has won almost 40 awards. As of February
17th, the website has won 328 awards from 24 countries around the world. They mean a lot to me since they help validate all
of the hard work that I've put into the website.
Planning for the upcoming mission trip is going okay. I've pretty well completely redone the section for this upcoming ride.
It took me almost 21 hours to make a picture of the upcoming route. I'm pretty satisfied on how the picture looks and it
reminds of pictures that satellites take in the ultra-violent range of light. On February 12th, I started to make arrangements
for places to stay along the way and I've made some good progress in finding places to stay with people along the way.
I am a member of CouchSurfing and the Hospitality Club.
I've been doing a lot of work on my website posting new pages. The last page that I added was a page to show support to
our American Armed Forces since they surely need it.
Well, this is all I think I need to write now. The next update should be posted between February 25th and March 02nd. This
should be the last update posted from Americus, Georgia until I get back here in late October.
