TRIP 2008

Update #16 - July 01st
Williston, North Dakota
5195 miles (8312 KM)

This is the eleventh update from the road. It has been over a week since I've been able to post an update. I'm not sure when the next time will be but I will take any opportunity that I can get on the web to try and update this website as often as I can.

The last third of the ride across Montana went quickly. I'm sorry to see Montana go but I'm glad that I'm in North Dakota since the roads (especially the shoulders) are so much better. Montana had loose stone or chip sealing on the shoulders. It was a miracle that no spokes were broken.

I got into North Dakota around 11:00 a.m. (MST) and 12:00 p.m. (CST). I arrived here in Williston around 3:30 p.m. I had made connections with the Baptist and Methodist ministers back in February via email. I wasn't able to get in contact with them. Instead, I was able to get hold of a retired Lutheran minister. He offered let me stay with him for a few days and I'll be getting back on the road Thursday, July 03rd. Currently, I'm around 3 weeks ahead of schedule.

Nothing much else to write about.

I'm hoping to find some way that I could post another update around the end of this month.
