TRIP 2010

Update #26 - September 21st
Lexington, South Carolina
7,525.07 miles (12,056.11 KM)

Eighteeth update for the trip.

For practical purposes, Mission Trip 20 ended two days ago on September 19th. I'm back staying with friends of mine who I was with in early May. Since May 10th, I've ridden 5,983.47 miles (9,573.55 KM). I'm not really in the mental or physical state to go any further. I've been dealing with pain and weakness in my left wrist ever since August 21st. I had a minor mishap on the Montour Rails-To-Trails outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. There is still some pain and I've got about 93% mobility with the wrist. I hope to be able to see a doctor at a clinic later in the week.

I'm not sure if this is the final place where I will be stopping for the Winter. There are some personal problems back in Americus, Georgia that I don't really want to deal with. I really don't want a repeat of what happened during my last furlough in Americus last Winter. I'm going to have take one day at a time. The thing that I really do need to do is rest.

There was some good things that happened during this last mission trip. I passed the 200,000 mile mark. "Pedal Prayers" became physically international because I got to ride in Sw Ontario, Canada (even though I do not have a passport at this time). I got to speak at 30 churches along the way. I was interviewed on television and had articles written about my ministry in several newspapers.

I'll try and add a new update every two weeks along the way so the next one will be around October 14th.
