TRIP 2011

Update #10 - May 12th
Shreveport, Louisiana
1,190.51 miles (1,904.32 KM)

The nine days that it took me to ride from Senatobia, Mississippi to Shreveport, Louisiana went okay. I didn't have to deal with many storms. I was able to finally get across the Mississippi River over a new bridge west of Greenville, Mississippi. There is really nothing much to write about.

I arrived in Shreveport Tuesday afternoon. I will be here through the weekend. I am staying at the volunteer center of the Fuller center For Housing of Northwest Louisiana. The center is on the grounds of the Our Blessed Lady Catholic Church in the Allendale neighborhood of Shreveport just west of the downtown area. I am helping do work on the 43rd house. Today, I helped install five inside doors of the four bedroom two bathroom house. I will possibly be here through the weekend and sometime early next week I will be heading out to Waco, Texas.

I will keep everybody abreast through upcoming updates. Usually, I try and add a new update every two weeks along the way so the next one will be around May 26th, 2011.
