TRIP 2013

Update #02 - February 12th
Richmond Hill, Georgia
3,916.52 miles (6,266.43 KM) - Mission Trip 33
836.15 miles (1,337.84 KM) - Year Total

The mission trip that I started last October isn't over. I was going to end this mission trip in Savannah, Georgia but I am going to extend the trip to Lexington, South Carolina. This is going to add give more days of cycling for the trip. When I get to Lexington, I'll be hopefully off the road for maybe two weeks or more.

I'm still without a new bankcard. This is really frustrating for me. From what I was told by the bank representative on Friday, February 1st, everything was being processed and I would be receiving a new bankcard in five or ten business days. When I called up my bank yesterday, I found out that what was promised never happened because there was flu going through the bank and the person who was supposed to be doing the processing and ordering was out most of last week. That means that I'll probably be without any access to the funds in my bank account for at least two more weeks.

The last ten days have been okay. I've met some nice people along the way. I did have one day with problems when a minister who had promised to help me left me waiting at the police station in Adel, Georgia. I had to camp for the night in my tent. These last two days have been wet and it will be raining tomorrow. To save me from riding in the rain tomorrow, a friend will be picking me up and taking me to a motel in Port Wentworth West of Savannah.

The next trip update should be posted sometime around February 26th.
